Arrivals
Check-in begins at 3 PM and goes to 9 PM. For late check in, please arrange ahead of time by calling us. If you wish to arrive earlier, please contact us at (802) 365-7713 to inquire if it is possible. During peak season or holidays, early arrival is not possible.
Departures
Check out is by 11 a.m. Late check-out may be available with advance notice. Given the challenges of cleaning rooms prior to new guest arrivals, late check-outs without prior permission will be charged a $50.00 late check-out fee.
Deposits
To confirm and secure a reservation, the Four columns Inn requires a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total stay for two nights or longer, non-package reservations. One-night stays and package reservations will be charged 100% of the deposit.
Reservation / Cancellation Policy
Being a property with only 15 rooms, cancellations affect us significantly. A last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking the canceled room, thus the Four Columns Inn has the following 14–day cancellation policy. Any cancellations that occur within 14 days of arrival will be subject to forfeiture of the deposit. All refunds outside of the 14 days are subject to a credit card processing fee equal to $50. Should it be necessary to arrive late, depart early or cancel your reservation within 7 days of arrival, you will be responsible for the entire cost of your stay as originally booked.
Pets
We are happy to welcome well-behaved canine companions to The Four Columns Inn! One dog per room (up to 50lbs) is permitted with a $50 nightly fee.
Please notify us at the time of reservation, as pets must be registered and a pet waiver signed at check-in.
Dogs should not be left unattended for extended periods but may remain in the room while guests enjoy breakfast or dinner. For staff safety, housekeeping will not service rooms while pets are present. Guests are asked to provide waste bags and clean up after their pets when walking on the inn's grounds and are responsible for any damage or related loss of revenue.
We look forward to hosting you and your furry friend!
Smoking
Per mandate of the fire department, we are a non-smoking facility. Noncompliance will result in a $100 surcharge. This includes vaping.
